Cookie Policy — upjobs.cz
The Czech version is decisive; this English translation is for information only.
On the website www.upjobs.cz (also the "website") we use so-called cookies. In this cookie policy you can read what cookies we use, why we use them and how you can disable their use.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that, when you visit the website, are sent by this website or by the websites of our partners and stored in your browser. The website remembers the actions you have taken, and when you visit the site again, your browser sends the cookies back to the site. In this way we can recognise your device and thereby adapt the website to your preferences. In other cases, cookies are used to adapt the displayed content of the website for a better user experience.
2. Consent to the use of cookies
When you visit the website, a notification bar is displayed informing you that the site uses cookies. By clicking the "Accept" button you consent to the use of all cookies. By clicking "Customise" you will be redirected to a page where you can tick individual types of cookies whose use you consent to. Using the "Reject" button you can disable the use of all cookies except necessary ones. We do not need your consent to store so-called necessary cookies, which are required to ensure the basic functionality of the site.
You can withdraw your consent to the use of cookies at any time — in your browser settings, where you can also delete cookies already stored, or in the cookie settings in the footer of the website.
_Implementation note: GA4 analytics (G-DPYKETCBT5) runs in Consent Mode v2 and the Meta Pixel marketing script loads only after consent is given — without consent its script is not downloaded at all._
3. What cookies we use
By storage duration we distinguish session cookies (stored only for the duration of the browser session, deleted when it is closed) and persistent cookies (which remain stored even after the browser is closed). By origin, these are first-party cookies (stored by the upjobs.cz website) and third-party cookies (in our case the Google Analytics 4 analytics service and the Meta Pixel of Meta Platforms Ireland).
On upjobs.cz we actually use only the following categories of cookies:
- Necessary – essential for the basic functions and security of the site; they cannot be switched off and do not require consent.
- Analytics – help us understand how visitors use the site (Google Analytics 4). They are activated only after consent is given (Consent Mode v2, denied by default).
- Marketing – measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram (Meta Pixel). Without consent the script is not loaded at all, so no data is stored or sent.
Specifically, we use the following cookies:
| Cookie | Category | Purpose | Duration | Party |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Necessary | Maintaining the user's session and login | session duration | first |
| CSRF token | Necessary | Protection against CSRF attacks | session duration | first |
| `upjobs_consent` | Necessary | Storing the cookie-consent choice | 6 months | first |
| `_ga` | Analytics | Distinguishing individual visitors (Google Analytics 4) | 2 years | third (Google) |
| `_ga_DPYKETCBT5` | Analytics | Maintaining session state for Google Analytics 4 | 2 years | third (Google) |
| `_fbp` | Marketing | Measuring advertising effectiveness (Meta Pixel) | 3 months | third (Meta) |
| `_fbc` | Marketing | Attributing a visit to an ad click (Meta Pixel) | 3 months | third (Meta) |
Analytics cookies are stored only after consent is given; until then, analytics runs in Consent Mode v2 without storing identifiers. Meta Pixel marketing cookies are created only after consent — without it the script is not downloaded and no data is sent to Meta.
4. Why we use cookies
Cookies make using the website more user-friendly. They allow us to monitor and evaluate the way you use the site and to improve the quality and content of the pages. We use our own cookies as well as third-party analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4); the latter are also governed by Google's privacy policy.
5. How to disable the storage of cookies on your device?
You can change your cookie preferences at any time via the cookie settings in the footer of the website, or via your browser settings (you can also disable third-party cookies). You can delete cookies already stored at any time. If you disable the storage of cookies entirely, the website may not function correctly.
Instructions for the most-used browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox.
6. Effect
This policy takes effect on 1 August 2026.
