Terms and Conditions for Users — upjobs.cz

Terms and Conditions of StartupJobs.com s.r.o., Company ID (IČO) 29153786, VAT ID (DIČ) CZ29153786, with its registered office at Šostakovičovo náměstí 1515/5, 155 00 Prague 5 – Stodůlky, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague, Section C, Insert 204709, for access to and use of the website www.upjobs.cz (incl. the English version at www.upjobs.cz/en).

1. Introductory provisions

1. These Terms govern the rights and obligations of the Provider and persons using the website www.upjobs.cz, upon entry to upjobs.cz and its further use, as well as other related legal relations. upjobs.cz serves to advertise job offers across the entire labour market — from manual, manufacturing, logistics and service positions, through healthcare, social care and education, to specialists and management.

2. These Terms apply to registered Users. They apply to non-registered users by analogy.

3. When registering or otherwise using upjobs.cz, the User is obliged to become acquainted with the current wording of the Terms and to comply with the obligations arising from them.

2. Definitions

  • Terms – these Terms and Conditions;
  • Provider – StartupJobs.com s.r.o., Company ID (IČO) 29153786, VAT ID (DIČ) CZ29153786, with its registered office at Šostakovičovo náměstí 1515/5, 155 00 Prague 5 – Stodůlky, Section C, Insert 204709;
  • upjobs.cz – the web portal at www.upjobs.cz (incl. the version at www.upjobs.cz/en);
  • User – a natural person who visits upjobs.cz in order to view job offers, including registered Users;
  • registered User – a user who registers for a user account on upjobs.cz.

3. Description of the service

1. Creation and management of a user profile containing information about the user and their history relevant to finding a job offer.

2. Registration is free of charge.

4. User registration

1. The User may create a user account (the User is also able to respond to an offer without registration; an account may be set up on the basis of explicit consent when responding).

2. As part of registration, the User is obliged to provide the required information (in particular first name and email address). Logging in to the account takes place without a password, by means of a one-time login link (a "magic link") sent to the specified email address.

3. The Provider reserves the right to refuse registration without giving a reason and to cancel an account in the event of a breach of the Terms; in such a case it will send the User a justification.

5. User obligations

1. The User registers under their own name and provides truthful and up-to-date information. The Provider is entitled to publish the provided information on the internet in relation to potential employers.

2. Each User may have only one account.

3. The User must not publish content contrary to legal regulations, in particular content infringing the copyright or personality rights of third parties or violating rules against hatred towards groups of persons.

4. The User is responsible for the content of information stored at the User's request.

5. The User protects access to their email inbox, to which the one-time login link (magic link) is sent, and does not share this link with third parties.

6. Use of the upjobs.cz portal

1. Access to and use of upjobs.cz is free of charge; the User bears the connection costs.

2. Users are able to respond to published Postings without the need to register.

3. Positions taken over from the StartupJobs portal: some postings on upjobs.cz come from the StartupJobs portal (of the same Provider). For these positions, the User's response is transferred for processing to the StartupJobs system; this fact is stated with the relevant posting.

4. The user account may be cancelled at any time without penalty.

5. The Provider rents space on upjobs.cz for the publication of Postings and, in accordance with Section 5 of Act No. 480/2004 Coll., is not liable for the content of stored information or its unlawfulness; it is not liable for the completeness, accuracy and truthfulness of published content.

6. The Provider is entitled (but not obliged) to carry out preventive content checks and to remove defective content.

7. The Provider does not guarantee uninterrupted access or the security of upjobs.cz and is not liable for damage arising during use of the portal.

8. The Provider reserves the right to restrict or terminate the User's access; the User has the right to withdraw from the service within 30 days.

7. Licence

If the User publishes a photograph or other content in their profile, upon publication they grant the Provider a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it on the upjobs.cz platform for the period during which it is located in the account.

8. Processing of personal data and cookies

The processing of personal data and the use of cookies are governed by the Privacy Policy (upjobs.cz/osobni-udaje) and the Cookie Policy (upjobs.cz/cookies). These documents form an integral part of the Terms.

9. Ranking

The Provider uses recommendation systems on upjobs.cz. The main parameters include ranking by time of submission, prioritisation of Postings using additional services (e.g. boosting) and relevance to the User's profile (personalisation).

10. Final provisions

1. The Provider may amend the Terms; it will announce changes by publication on upjobs.cz and by email to registered Users.

2. Relations are governed by Czech law; the general courts of the Czech Republic have jurisdiction over disputes.

3. Consumer disputes may be resolved out of court by the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (www.coi.cz, [email protected]).

4. If any provision is invalid, it is replaced by the provision closest in meaning; the validity of the others is not affected.

6. These Terms take effect on 1 August 2026.
